Our story
Hi! We're Porter & Katie...
We’re Talbot County natives who, after spending several years in NYC and Philadelphia, moved back to the area in 2020.
Inspired by waste management programs in our respective cities, we founded New Grounds in 2021 as a way to make composting easy and accessible to Talbot County.
It is now our goal to divert as much waste from landfills as possible, while educating others on the benefits of composting along the way.
